Convention Data Services (CDS) has announced the appointment of a new vice president of sales and account management. This executive has over 29 years of sales and management experience in the tradeshow industry.
Bob Lucke will lead a team focused on creating innovative opportunities for clients and their events. He will oversee all aspects of account management in the sales and exhibitor services departments.
“Forming partnerships with our clients is an integral part of CDS’ approach to doing business,” said David Lawton, executive vice president of sales and marketing. “Bob’s expertise and superior interpersonal and leadership skills will be instrumental as we continue to build relationships and work to ensure the success of our clients’ events.”
Lucke, formerly with Experient and ExpoExchange, is an accomplished executive with a wealth of experience in technology-based service organizations. During his career, he led the largest and most profitable event services operating division and was recognized for his in-depth knowledge of the industry, technology, customers and competitors.
“I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and getting to work,” said Lucke. “My first priority is to meet with CDS’ clients to gain an understanding of their business and create a collaborative partnership.”
Lucke is a long-time member of several industry associations for tradeshow professionals, including the International Association of Exhibitions and Events and the Professional Convention Management Association.
