CES Unveiled LONDON prepares to showcase tech industry

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), a supporter of the consumer technology industry, announced programming, panelists and a preliminary list of exhibitors for its third-annual CES Unveiled LONDON, scheduled Oct. 1 in London.

“We can’t wait to return to London to kick off this year’s CES Unveiled event series. The UK is helping drive global innovation, with a booming tech industry especially in areas like London’s Tech City,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA. “From budding startups to established international brands, CES Unveiled LONDON will present ground-breaking technology to those looking to invest in technologies of tomorrow.”

This invitation-only event for members of the media, CE industry analysts, the investor community and executives from the United Kingdom’s tech industry will showcase the technology industry and serve as a precursor to the January 2014 International CES, a gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. CES Unveiled LONDON will present global research, announce CES news and showcase products and technologies.

In partnership with United Kingdom Trade & Investment (UKTI) and Intellect Technology Association, CES Unveiled LONDON will run from 3–7 p.m. at the Oxo Tower Wharf, London.

3-3:30 p.m.                 2014 International CES London Press Preview

3:30-4:15 p.m.            Global Consumer Technology Trends, the 2014 CES and Implications for the UK

  •  Shawn DuBravac, chief economist and senior director of research, CEA
  • He will address the state of the consumer technology industry in the UK while highlighting worldwide trends and implications for the UK marketplace. Gain insights and intelligence into today’s thriving consumer tech industry with a deep dive into local consumer profiles, usage, ownership and purchase intentions. DuBravac will reveal drivers and deterrents for consumer technology adoption, quantify levels of country-specific innovation and showcase emerging global tech trends likely to unfold at the 2014 International CES.

4:15 p.m.                    Innovation in Business Panel Discussion

Panelists will bring individual experiences and share various viewpoints for what it takes to succeed as an innovator in business today.

CES Unveiled brings innovative technology companies, top media and key industry influences together leading up to the 2014 International CES, the world’s proving ground for innovation and technology, which will run Jan. 7-10, 2014, in Las Vegas.
