CEVA Logistics, a global supply-chain company, has appointed a longtime employee to the role of managing director of CEVA’s Showfreight International business.
Sharon Robinson has worked for CEVA’s Showfreight business for 23 years and most recently was branch manager of Showfreight’s office in Birmingham, England.
“Since joining Showfreight in 1989, Sharon has rapidly worked her way through the
ranks to become a highly valued senior member of the team,” said Leigh Pomlett, president, CEVA Europe. “Sharon is a talented individual with in-depth knowledge of the company and the international exhibition and events-logistics scene.”
Robinson plans to use the firm’s tightly coordinated team to boost business opportunities.
“We are a close-knit team, and I am thrilled and motivated by the prospect of leading Showfreight,” said Robinson. “Showfreight is ideally placed to develop our business and maximize opportunities in the events industry in the U.K. and overseas.”
During her time within CEVA’s Showfreight business, Robinson has managed a wide range of events, from machinery to foods and aerospace to giftware. In addition to long-established working relationships with existing customers and organizers, she has on-site knowledge of all major U.K. event venues and a track record that includes shows in Europe, the U.S., Australia and the Far East.
