Convention Data Services raises $22,000 for National Marine Life Center

Convention Data Services (CDS), one of the largest private employers on Cape Cod, recently held the 4th Annual Douglas J. Fletcher Memorial Golf Tournament in memory of its founder.

This year’s tournament exceeded last year’s donation amount, raising $22,000 to benefit the National Marine Life Center, an organization strongly supported by Fletcher. Co-sponsors Nielsen and onPeak provided the raffle Grand Prize, a 4-night stay at any Hilton Worldwide Hotel.

Convention Data Services’ Golf Committee, led by John Kimball, CFO, presented the donation check to the National Marine Life Center on October 6 at the center’s headquarters in Buzzards Bay, MA.

The National Marine Life Center is an independent, not-for-profit marine animal hospital and science education center. Its mission is to rehabilitate stranded sea turtles, seals, dolphins, porpoises and small whales, while advancing scientific knowledge and education in marine wildlife health and ocean conservation. Since admitting its first patient in 2004, the National Marine Life Center has rehabilitated and released 20 endangered sea turtles, 1 seal and 49 endangered non-marine turtles.
