Convention Data Services (CDS), provider of state-of-the-art registration, database management, exhibitor lead retrieval services and event marketing to the tradeshow industry, recently announced the addition of two new companies to its client roster.
GLM signed a multi-year contract with CDS to provide advance and on-site registration and exhibitor lead retrieval services for six events, including the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, International Hotel, Motel and Restaurant Show, National Stationery Show, SURTEX and the semi-annual New York International Gift Fair.
“CDS is a great fit for GLM,” said Dorothy Belshaw, senior vice president, GLM. “They share GLM’s entrepreneurial spirit and focus on innovation, and will be a strong marketing partner as we develop features and programs designed to ease and enhance the registration process for our customers.”
GLM creates buying, selling and networking platforms for designers, product developers, manufacturers, reps, retailers and operators through tradeshow and event production, online community development and association management. GLM currently produces 15 tradeshows, serving industries as diverse as giftware, home furnishings, social stationery, home textiles, tabletop, gourmet housewares, contemporary furniture, personal care, art and design, antique jewelry, beach, board, fashion and hospitality.
Together, these events showcase some 11,000 exhibitors in 1.8 million net square feet of exhibit space, and attract approximately 345,000 attendees.
UBM International Media has also signed a multi-year contract with CDS to provide registration and exhibitor lead retrieval services for their annual event; Informex. As the leading fine chemical tradeshow in the United States, Informex has been a marketplace for networking and doing business in the fine, custom and specialty chemical manufacturing industry for more than 26 years.
“Out of all the demos we’ve seen, CDS clearly is the only company that has the focus on marketing and registration that we were looking for,” said Jennifer Jessup, Brand Director, Informex for UBM. “Their technology is heads and tails above the rest, and I was surprised to see that with all that CDS was offering, their costs were in line with our budget.”
