With its recent partnership with the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Cosmoprof North America (CPNA) has announced four exceptional students from the 2011 B.S. Graduating Class who will participate in this year’s Trend Scout program. This new program hopes to help talented and focused students launch successful careers.
The CPNA Trend Scout students who have been recognized at the top of the undergraduate program are: Heather Holler, Virginia Peandro, Heidi Rastadt and Bree Zabriskie.
While being given unrestricted access to the show floor, the Trend Scouts will tour the show and speak with exhibitors to discover new product launches and show specials. They will then report their findings via posts on Twitter and Facebook, giving the entire industry access to these new beauty discoveries, and further enhancing Cosmoprof North America’s social media presence.
During the three days of the show, attendees will be able to check out the live posts and tweets streaming continuously from their Wi-Fi connected devices. These posts will also be shown in real-time at the main entrance to the show floor, helping attendees to identify the “at the moment” trends, as well as new or existing companies that they should meet with.
Not only will this be a new and exciting initiative that will give the show a fresh and unique component, it is also a portal to industry members not able to attend who can still follow the action from the show. The concept is to foster an environment for these budding professionals to meet and network with exhibitors and industry leaders, potentially securing future employment.
