Derse names new executive creative director

An executive creative director with more than 25 years’ experience will run Derse’s multidisciplinary marketing and design team.


Russ Fowler has been named Derse’s executive creative director. Fowler has more than 25 years’ experience in the face-to-face marketing industry and has been with Derse since 1994.

In his time with Derse, Fowler has developed new creative for large-scale corporate programs. He has been honored with numerous awards, including winning multiple EXHIBITOR design awards, an EX award and was named the 2006 designer of the year by the Exhibit Designers & Producers Association. He earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental design from Bowling Green State University.

In his new position, Fowler will lead a multidisciplinary team that integrates experiential marketing, environments design and multimedia design. Under Russ’s leadership, the team intends to develop results-driven, creative solutions that engage target audiences to increase sales through client tradeshow, marketing environment and event programs.

Founded in 1948, Derse is a face-to-face marketing agency headquartered in Milwaukee with offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New Jersey, New York, Pittsburgh, Phoenix, San Diego and San Francisco. Derse is ranked fourth in the nation in the event-marketing category by Advertising Age magazine and received a Silver-level LEED certification for its national headquarters.
