Design Factory co-founder and 25-year tradeshow veteran received the Enterprising Woman of the Year Award from Enterprising Women Magazine. Given to women business owners, the award is based not only on financial success, but also on leadership and community involvement as well.
In addition to recognizing women who achieve financial success and who stand out as leaders in their business or social communities, Enterprising Woman of the Year winners are those who support women and girl entrepreneurs. This must be active support, such as mentorship or leadership in their community. Many honorees are part of organizations that promote women’s entrepreneurship.
The award puts Chris Harvey, co-founder, Design Factory, in the company of other female business owners and entrepreneurs around the world. Widely known as one of the most prestigious programs for recognizing women, it is a distinct honor to be a part of this select group.
“I’m honored to receive the award,” said Harvey, a veteran in the tradeshow industry since 1989. “I hope we’ll see more women from Las Vegas considered for the award in years to come. There are plenty who qualify!”
Harvey started the Design Factory with business partner Chrisa Chen in 1999. Providing turnkey tradeshow solutions as well as tradeshow booth rental, the company serves clients ranging from small businesses to national corporations and departments of the federal government.
Design Factory’s local clients in the Las Vegas area include Century Link, Cox Communications, Bank of Nevada and the Las Vegas Convention and Tourists Bureau. National clients include Wells Fargo Bank, Duraflame, Dulcinea Farms and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Enterprising Women Magazine was founded 14 years ago.
