Destinations International Celebrates Unprecedented Growth and Unveils Exciting 2024 Events

Washington, D.C., USA (December 14, 2023)  Destinations International (DI), the premier global resource for destination organizations and convention and visitors bureaus (CVBs), proudly announces a historic milestone in its membership growth. In 2023, DI welcomed 107 new member organizations, expanding its global reach to 30 countries and territories, now encompassing over 720 destination members worldwide. This remarkable achievement was announced by Don Welsh, President and CEO, during the Destinations International board meeting on December 13, 2023, in Tampa, FL.

“2023 was a landmark year for us, setting a record in membership growth. The roles of destination organizations have never been more vital for their communities and our global community of over 7,500 industry professionals are able to utilize a dynamic platform for destination member teams to connect and promote best practices. Our association also provides access to cutting-edge industry research and continuous learning. This helps elevate the tourism industry to its highest potential,” Welsh remarked.
