The general manager of sales and events at Direct Energy Centre, a public assembly venue in Toronto, was inducted into Canada’s Exposition Management Hall of Fame.
During the annual Canadian Association of Exhibition Management (CAEM) awards gala ‘Celebrating the Stars of the Show’, Arlene Campbell won 2014 Hall of Fame in the Associate Category.
“It is my pleasure to congratulate Arlene Campbell on achieving this prestigious honor. Induction to the Hall of Fame demonstrates her commitment to continuous personal development, leadership and growth within our organization and the industry,” said Dianne Young, CEO, Exhibition Place “Her encouragement of staff to join the association, actively volunteer and pursue their CEM designation is valuable.”
The award is given to leaders who have achieved prominence for the honor they bring to the exposition industry and as a result of their activities within the industry. A Hall of Fame inductee is viewed as a professional with commitment to quality and a mentor who shares their wisdom and industry knowledge to expand the industry.
Also recognized at the Awards Gala for his graduation from the Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) program was Ken Jattan, event coordinator at Direct Energy Centre.
