Two veteran Alberta, Cananda, organizations are merging to form one of the largest integrated companies in the display and exhibits industry west of Toronto.
Calgary-based Displayco Canada is finalizing the acquisition of Derrick Exhibit, a leading supplier to the exhibit and display industry for the past 35 years.
Displayco Canada, with its head office and main distribution center based in Calgary, has been a major supplier in the exhibits and tradeshow industry in Canada and around the world for more than 35 years. Its wholly owned subsidiary, Displayco US Inc., recently expanded to Houston, Texas, where it opened a 20,000 square-foot facility.
“With this merger, Displayco Canada Inc. becomes one of the largest and most comprehensive exhibits and display companies west of Ontario,” said Kevin Hagerman, who will head up the new company. “Our focus on providing exceptional customer service will be enhanced substantially by the wider range of products and service offerings we now will be offering clients.”
Hagerman said the majority of the employees and assets from both companies will be retained. He added that the new company, operating as Displayco Canada Inc., expects some economies to result from consolidating office production and storage facilities in Edmonton and Calgary, but the principle benefit of the merger will be a much expanded range of expertise and resources that Displayco will have available to meet client needs.
With full-service offices in Calgary, Edmonton and Houston, Displayco is now ideally positioned to manage projects in North America and internationally including, manufacturing, storage, graphics, logistics and project management.
The company’s executive management team will be Shawn Henderson, Kevin Hagerman, Trevor Packard and Tanis Hagerman.
