In early 2011, the leadership and stakeholders from the nation’s credit unions will convene, once again, for their annual Governmental Affairs Conference held annually at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in downtown Washington, D.C. Hargrove will be onsite to provide general contracting services to the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) as part of a five-year contract extension.
Hargrove is a nationwide general contractor that produces tradeshows, events and custom exhibits. CUNA, based in Washington, D.C. and Madison, Wis., is the premier national trade association serving America’s 8,000 credit unions, which provide not-for-profit, cooperatively owned financial services to more than 92 million Americans.
CUNA moved its Governmental Affairs Conference to the Washington Convention Center three years ago as a result of its continuous growth, and today it is the credit union sector’s largest national conference.
Hargrove has provided such services as stage design for the conference’s general session and evening gala dance/reception, and exhibit hall décor for the conference’s tradeshow component, now the largest in the financial services industry.
“We are pleased to continue our partnership with Hargrove to support our Government Affairs Conference,” said Daniel A. Mica, CUNA president and CEO. “We greatly appreciate Hargrove’s commitment to our association’s success with their exemplary service and creativity. We expect our meeting to experience continued growth and look forward to five more successful years with Hargrove.
“We’re honored to have been selected by CUNA to assist them for five more years. We have a great deal of experience with government affairs meetings and a commitment to service that I think makes Hargrove an ideal partner,” said Tim McGill, CEO of Hargrove. “We will look forward to helping CUNA make this meeting an even greater success.”
