ECN Announces the Release of Its 30th Anniversary Edition

A Must-Have Collector’s Edition Celebrating Three Decades of Tradeshow Industry Insights, History, and Expertise

by Marlena Sullivan, Editor, Exhibit City News

Today marks a milestone—one that is bigger than just a single issue. I am thrilled to announce that the Exhibit City News 30th Anniversary Book is officially here.

Now, it is time to share this milestone with all of you, the industry that built it, the people who make tradeshows happen, and the next generation who will carry this legacy forward.

A Book That Matters

This book is more than a story of Exhibit City News. It is a story about our industry. It is a celebration of the work that goes unnoticed, the relationships that hold it all together, and the lessons we pass down. It is a training tool, a resource, and a love letter to tradeshows.

When I first joined ECN, I learned about this industry through the pages of the 25th Anniversary Book. It was my introduction to the names, places, and customs that make up this world. Now, with the 30th Anniversary Book, we have created something even greater, something that doesn’t just look back, but moves the industry forward.

Building a Legacy

Over the past year, I have had the privilege of hearing stories from countless professionals on the show floor. Stories of long nights, tight deadlines, and the immense pride that comes with pulling off the impossible. I’ve also met newcomers, the ones just stepping into this fast-paced world, eyes wide with curiosity and uncertainty.

One thing is clear: this book is for both.

It honors those who came before, while ensuring the knowledge, culture, and passion of this industry are never lost. We cannot afford to lose our recipes—to let the skills and wisdom of our predecessors fade away. Instead, we must document them, share them, and use them to build the future.

This Industry is a Family

This book reflects the people who make up this industry, those who have built it, those who are shaping it now, and those who will carry it forward.

The 30th Anniversary Book is here. It is yours. It is ours. And it is a reminder that this industry does not stand still—it grows, it adapts, and it thrives because of the people within it.

This is a celebration for all of us.
