EDPA Foundation launches Facebook and Twitter pages

The Exhibit Designers & Producers Association Foundation has announced the launch of its new Facebook and Twitter pages, at www.facebook.com/edpaf, and www.twitter.com/EdpaFoundation, available immediately.

“We have been working very hard to develop a community around the foundation that people from all over our industry could take part in. Creating the Facebook and Twitter pages was the logical next step in the process.” said Dave Walens, chairman of the Foundation board of directors.

The sites are part of a complete social media plan developed for the foundation by GetFoundSTL, a media company that specializes in working with non-profit organizations to help them build communities around their cause. Mark Fournier, president of the company, has worked with national organizations such as the Red Cross.

“Facebook Fans will have access to exclusive events, breaking news, insight and the opportunity to connect and share with designers, producers, service contractors, educators and suppliers from all over the world,” said Fournier.

While both the Facebook and Twitter pages will be overseen by representatives of the Foundation, the intention is that both sites become an open forum for discussion on any issue related to the industry, with the ultimate goal of involving people from all parts of our companies in the cause of supporting industry people in need.

The EDPA Foundation is the charitable arm of the Exhibit Designer & Producers Association. The Foundation is led by executives from all segments of the industry that have a common goal: the heartfelt desire to reach out to our peers in their time of need.

The Foundation supports a university scholarship program, the Randy Smith Memorial Golf Classic, the Exhibits4Smiles program, and a number of other local need-based organizations.
