EDPA Las Vegas Holds Blood & Clothing Drive

Annual Tim Provo Memorial Blood Drive and Whitney Elementary Clothing Drive

edpa las vegas logoThe EDPA Las Vegas chapter is hosting their 11th annual Tim Provo Memorial Blood Drive in conjunction with a clothing drive to benefit their community partners, the Whitney Elementary School.

The blood drive/clothing drive will be held Wednesday, Nov. 11 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the LVCC, Platinum 3 parking lot.

Advance donor sign-up is required as only two donors are allowed per hour. Sign up to get your preferred time spot for the blood drive at Blood Drive Sign-up or by emailing Jen LaBruzza (jen@classicexhibits.com) with any questions. BONUS: All donors who have a successful donation will receive a FREE COVID-19 antibody test with their donation!*

*All donors must bring/wear a mask or face covering when donating!

Also, each year the chapter has participated in a Holiday Food Drive for Community Partners at Whitney Elementary School. This year, the need for clothing items is GREATER and we are being asked to assist with a clothing drive.
A list of clothing items is below. We will be collecting items at the Blood Drive or you can contact Rebecca Thompson (rebeccat@stevense3.com) for pickup of your donated items through Friday, Nov. 6.

Requested clothing items for Whitney Elementary School:

  • Sweatpants
  • Jackets
  • Sweaters
  • Underwear in sizes 5/6 through Adult Small
  • Socks all ages/sizes
  • Coats new or gently used sizes 5/6 through Adult Small

Let’s BRING the same enthusiasm we’ve had for the food drive in year’s past to this clothing drive!

In 2009, when Elements owner Tim Provo was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia, EDPA held its first blood drive and collected 80 units of blood. Since then, nearly 200 units have been collected during EDPA’s drives. Factoring one donation can save three lives; that’s more than 500 lives that have been saved by the Tim Provo Blood Drive. While he passed away in 2010, the EDPA Las Vegas chapter has continued the event in his honor.
