The Experiential Designers and Producers Association has sent out an urgent message to everyone in the tradeshow and event industry:
“Senator Marco Rubio (pictured right) has filed an amendment to the American Rescue Plan Act now being considered in the Senate.
This amendment would expand the eligibility for Shuttered Venue Operator Grants to include tradeshow venue operators and tradeshow service providers.
To qualify, service providers would have to show that 70 percent of their 2019 revenues were attributable to tradeshows. Senator Rubio has been a major supporter of the small business community throughout this pandemic, and this amendment would give a big boost to our business event industry.
One reason we have reached this point is the outreach effort you have all made on behalf of our industry.
We need to remain active to help push this over the finish line. We need your immediate help!
Click below to access the letter template and database of your Senator’s office. Please fill in the blanks and send this to your Senators’ offices, and urge them to support the Rubio Amendment.
We need you to do this immediately as this amendment will likely be voted on tonight or tomorrow!
