Collaborating with Child’s Play, a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games, Elevation Exhibits & Events is helping to fabricate game carts for their Domestic Violence (DV) program.
Officials at Elevation Exhibits stated that the emotional support the DV program will bring to families and children in crisis is humbling.
“The Domestic Violence program was created to assist children in domestic violence shelters and advocacy centers through video games and the power of interactive play. These resources can be powerful tools in engaging and entertaining children who have experienced trauma, creating and reinforcing social bonds, and empowering children in a difficult time,” said Jamie Dillon, Child’s Play Program Coordinator & Development. “As with each of Child’s Play’s endeavors, the DV program is supported by the charitable generosity of the video game industry and its community.”
The program will open applications annually, and donations will be made to shelters in time for the holidays each year.
