ESA to offer entry-level event safety training

Event Safety Alliance, a promoter of safety during live event production, launched its Event Safety Access Training (ESAT) in conjunction with the 2016 Tour Link Conference, a gathering place for tour professionals.

The first delivery of this one-day program will take place Jan. 11, 2016 at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Springs, Calif.

ECN 052015_SW_ESA to offer entry-level event safety trainingDeveloped by experts in the fields of production, occupational safety, and emergency planning and guided by feedback from professionals across the live event industry, ESAT is an entry-level safety awareness training targeted to anyone involved in the execution of live events.

Comprised of guidance taken from OSHA, NIMS-ICS, the Event Safety Guide and others, ESAT is intended to address government and insurance-industry requirements for workplace safety training within a robust, event-specific framework. This introductory program will help to ensure that those working on an event site have received the training necessary to raise their level of safety awareness and know the appropriate response when faced with a hazard.

Registration for Event Safety Access Training costs $225, which includes course materials, course completion card and registration in the ESA database of ESAT-trained professionals. Tour Link Attendees and ESA Professional Members will receive 20 percent off the cost of their registration to Event Safety Access training.

Seating for this event is limited. For more information and to register, click the button below, or visit http://eventsafetyalliance.org/event-safety-access-training.
