ESP Recruitment partner with Mash Media for Eventice 2014

ESP, a recruitment agency for the event industry, announced that it will be in partnership with Mash Media for the Eventice competition in 2014.

Candidates interested in applying will submit a two-minute video explaining why they want to work in the event industry. The best 12 will be selected to attend the finals, hosted Feb. 12-14, 2014 by the Event Production Show.

“We’re really looking forward to working with Mash Media to drive forward Eventice 2014,” said Liz Sinclair, managing director, ESP Recruitment. “Their portfolio sits across many disciplines of the event industry and will give us access to a broad range of employing companies. In addition, the timing of the Event Production Show is excellent, with an early February date for the finals the students will have more time to prepare for the competition as there is less of a clash with dissertation deadlines and studying for final examinations.”

Launching the apprentice-style challenge in 2010, ESP sought to bring the next generation of talent into the field at a time when no one was recruiting graduates.

“The quality of the students and employers involved in Eventice has always been of an incredibly high standard,” said Sinclair. “Holding the finals at the Event Production Show will highlight how many talented graduates are out there to a whole new audience.”

Participating in a series of speed interviews, the successful candidates will complete a preliminary task on Feb. 10, and will carry out further tasks at the show on Feb. 11.

Wrapping up the competition, the four strongest candidates will be asked to present to a panel of industry experts before undergoing interviews with two prospective employing companies.

Opening new doors for winning candidates, this competition has given past winners the opportunity to work with companies such as Blitz, George P. Johnson, ExCel London and Tarsus Exhibitions.
