EventMover hires new senior account executive

EventMover, Inc., a transportation services company, recently announced that it has hired the former president and CEO of Horizon Specialized Transportation.

John Colvin will join EventMover as a senior account executive.

EventMover believes that Colvin’s hiring will immediately increase its footprint in the transportation industry, adding a high concentration of clients in the aerospace and medical industries.

“Our decision to hire John Colvin was based on two things – our desire to expand our operations on a global basis plus Horizon’s stellar reputation and impressive client base,” said Lisa Michele Chretien, president of EventMover.

Colvin’s hiring is part of EventMover’s overall efforts to continue to grow at the impressive rates they have experienced in the past five years.

“I feel very good about the synergy between EventMover and myself,” said Colvin. “EventMover is one of the most respected companies in our industry, and to be part of this team is the next great step for my clients and for me. I strongly believe that our clients will benefit a great deal from my new relationship with EventMover.”

Despite the difficulties the economy has seen in recent years, EventMover has consistently grown at a rate of over 25 percent per year.

“Sustained growth is part of our long term plan, and making smart decisions to bring on team members with excellent reputations and diverse client rosters is part of that plan,” said Jim Chretien, vice president of EventMover.

To accommodate its growth and team expansion, EventMover has also secured an additional satellite office in Irvine, Calif., adding to their corporate headquarters in Laguna Beach, Calif., and their existing satellite office in Dallas, Tex.
