EWI Worldwide, a global live communications company, recently announced promotions for the positions of international senior vice president and managing director of its Europe headquarters.
Kevin Pritchard will serve as the company’s new senior vice president and will be responsible for overseeing EWI’s European and Asia-Pacific headquarters.
Benedict Meissner will serve as managing director for its Europe headquarters with primary responsibilities including managing EWI’s European team and programs.
“Kevin and Benedict have served significant roles and will continue to contribute to the growth of our client work internationally,” said Dominic Silvio, chairman and CEO, EWI Worldwide. “With nearly 40 years combined experience supporting U.S. brands abroad, they will ensure EWI’s high quality of service, flawless delivery and its commitment to managing brands will continue to grow.”
Pritchard is also responsible for overseeing EWI’s programs in other emerging markets worldwide, helping brands realize cost efficiencies and navigate the operational elements of all live programs, from consumer events to tradeshow stands. Pritchard previously held the role of senior vice president, global client services, and has managed client accounts domestically and abroad, including Audi, Bentley, Porsche, Subaru and Volkswagen. He has served in the industry for more than 25 years.
Meissner’s role has further expanded in Europe to include managing the company’s European programs from creative and design through estimating, on-site support and logistics. Meissner previously served as EWI’s regional account director, where he managed regionally based support teams for clients including Allegheny Technologies Incorporated (ATI) and Coherent.
EWI has also recently completed several programs for U.S.-based clients representing various vertical industries, including aerospace, automotive and healthcare in Abu Dhabi, China, Germany and Russia, among other regions.
EWI Worldwide formally expanded its wholly-owned global footprint in 2006, with the opening of its Asia-Pacific headquarters, located in Shanghai, China, which is currently led by Shirley Li, general manager, Asia-Pacific Operations. It expanded to Germany soon after and today has local representation in over 60 countries worldwide.
Pritchard and Meissner have together played an integral role in the success of EWI’s growing global client programs. For a recent industry meeting in Malta, client Obagi Medical Products needed a tradeshow experience that would showcase its brand, as well as logistical support to navigate international challenges on the small and exclusive Mediterranean island.
“EWI Worldwide provided an exceptional, first-class design and logistics with the Obagi Medical Products Booth at Dasil,” said Brittany Reynolds, senior marketing manager at Obagi Medical Products. “Overall, we were very pleased with their professional services and management of the project. We will continue to use their services for all major tradeshows and meetings.”
Additional 2012 client programs include tradeshow and digital engagement support for automotive supplier Dana Holding Corp.’s international shows, including those throughout Germany, France, Russia and China; support for client ATI at the Farnborough International Airshow in England and at oil and gas industry events in Norway and Abu Dhabi.
