Exhibit Surveys, Inc., a provider of research, measurement and consulting services, earned an Expo Digital Excellence Award for its 50th birthday infographic

ECN 042014_NTL_Exhibit Surveys_50th birthday graphicWinning in the Infographics/Visual Story Telling category, the graphic depicts the evolution of Exhibit Surveys since it was founded in 1963 by exhibition research pioneer Richard K. “Dick” Swandby. For example, the Total Buying Plans (percentage of attendees planning to make a purchase) rose from 34 percent in 1963 to 49 percent in 2013.

“Our 50th birthday last year gave us an opportunity to reflect on all that we’ve accomplished as a company and how research and measurement in the event marketing industry has evolved in the last half-century,” said Jonathan “Skip” Cox, CEO and president, Exhibit Surveys, Inc. “The infographic was an effective way to view our history using a clever graphical timeline.”

Alissa Algarin, senior project manager, developed the infographic content after interviewing Swandby and collaborating with the Exhibit Surveys team to unearth more of the company’s history.

“All of us at Exhibit Surveys are delighted to have won the Expo Digital Excellence Award and [are] proud of Alissa for her work in directing this project,” added Cox.

Algarin also submitted the infographic as part of her Certified Trade Show Marketer thesis, which contributed to her achieving CTSM certification at EXHIBITOR2014.  Algarin worked closely with Richard Benson of Moose Design to create the design.

Exhibit Surveys utilized the infographic as an element of its integrated marketing initiatives throughout 2013.
