Exhibition Place, Canada’s largest entertainment venue, reported a profit in excess of $1.6 million after a successful 2013 year-end audit.
Attracting more than 5.3 million visitors a year, Councillor Mark Grimes, chair of the board of governors of Exhibition Place, said the success was built upon a combination of strategic planning and successful execution in four areas – Exhibition Place, Direct Energy Centre, BMO Field and Allstream Centre.
“Exhibition Place plays an important role in Toronto’s economic fiber by providing the leading marketplace for meetings, conventions, exhibitions and sporting events in Canada,” said Grimes. “We are proud to generate $1.6 million for the City of Toronto.”
An integral component of Toronto and Ontario’s economy, the annual impact Exhibition Place has on the city is around $400 million.
