ExhibitorLive, America’s largest exhibition for tradeshow and corporate event buyers, has decided to postpone their 2020 tradeshow again and are currently looking for fall dates at Mandalay Bay’s convention center in Las Vegas. Below is their statement sent on December 10:
“Since our last announcement on Nov. 3, we have continued to monitor the impacts of COVID-19 on the face-to-face marketing industry. The recent surge in virus cases has led to the reinstitution of COVID restrictions in many states across the country, including Nevada.
EXHIBITOR magazine’s most recent survey gauging COVID-19’s impact on the tradeshow industry found that 84 percent of corporate marketers remain under corporate travel bans preventing them from attending events, with 48 percent uncertain when in 2021 these restrictions will be rescinded. Numerous tradeshows and conferences continue to reschedule their Q1 and Q2 events to later in 2021 because of these facts.
We are actively working with our partners at Mandalay Bay and MGM Resorts in seeking alternate dates for EXHIBITORLIVE in Q3 of 2021. We hope to firm up the dates by the end of the month but wanted to deliver this information now as we know that many of you are trying to make plans and develop budgets for Q1.
We appreciate your patience and understanding and again want to assure you of our commitment to bringing the face-to-face marketing community together again—safely. We will continue to monitor the advice and counsel of the CDC, WHO and state and local health authorities, and are hopeful that the approval of a vaccine will make it possible for us to gather once again later in 2021.
In the interim, we continue to look for ways for the face-to-face marketing world to connect, learn and shop for needed resources.
