Experient, a source for integrated meeting and event solutions, appointed a strategic sales executive on its association and government sales team.
Joining the company as part of a market-focused growth strategy is Steve Schell. He will focus his sales efforts on the sports-based market – sports conventions/meetings, athletic competitions and other sporting events attracting participants and their audiences – identifying those specific needs and evaluating new opportunities and formulations on how Experient can fill those needs.
“With a proven track record in clientele development, Steve is poised to take us successfully into the sports market,” said Barb Herod, CMP, vice president of association sales, Experient. “He has the knowledge and energy to make a positive impact in this position, and we look forward to cultivating new business relationships.”
Schell brings more than 25 years of experience in sales management to Experient, having come from the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau as vice president of sales and services and the San Diego Sports Commission as vice president of sales. He is based in San Diego.
