Expo, a multichannel brand serving the tradeshow and event industry, named the finalists of its E.X.C.I.T.E. Awards.
Taking place Jun. 25 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Baltimore, Md., the E.X.C.I.T.E Awards honor the industry’s top performers. These awards recognize outstanding innovation among corporations, agencies, not-for-profits and industry suppliers. The Expo Elite and Expo’s Top 25 Fast-Growth Shows will also be celebrated.
Comprised of ground-breaking shows, the finalists list includes ADA 2013 Annual Meeting, Cisco Live, E3 2013, HealthAchieve, LIGHTFAIR International 2013, New York International Auto Show and more.
Expo’s Top 25 Fast-Growth Shows honorees employed a variety of strategies to increase the number of attendees, vendors and square footage over the past year. Some were creative—“matchmaking” between participants and vendors and demos via a survey as part of the registration process. Some were quirky—“name the beer” and fabric design contests. But others were so simple they reach the level of ingenious—using social media to identify key “influencers” in the attendee base to direct a personal contact campaign.
The E.X.C.I.T.E. Awards Luncheon will kick-off the ExpoNext Conference being held Jun. 25-27 at the nearby Baltimore Marriott Waterfront. ExpoNext is dedicated to helping senior-level tradeshow executives and their teams grow their shows and communities through cutting-edge strategies in marketing, sales and operations.
