Fixation Marketing hires creative veteran as agency creative director

mike-gallagherFixation Marketing, the Maryland-based strategy, design and interactive solution firm, has appointed an advertising and creative veteran to the role of creative director.

Mike Gallagher, the new creative director, was previously running his own media-agnostic creative consultancy, where his clients included The Kellogg Foundation, NASA, the IRS, and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.

“Our agency was in a position to start providing even greater value to our clients,” said Jean Whiddon, Fixation’s president and CEO. “Gallagher’s association experience and his strong background in strategy and message development position us to do just that. We were ready for someone with his creative ‘chops’ and we’re very excited to have him here.”

Gallagher’s experience also includes time as senior vice president, creative director at Porter Novelli, where he was instrumental in the development and growth of the Broadcast, Creative and Digital Group. He led the team that created the award-winning Energy Guys campaign for the Propane Energy and Research Council. Other clients included SeaWorld, Wyeth and the American Forest and Paper Association.

“Fixation’s business model is an impressive one. Any agency that’s been growing during the past few years must be doing something right,” said Gallagher. “Their strong creative product and top-notch client service have something to do with that. I’m fortunate to be part of such a remarkable company.”
