Fixation selected for Solar Industry Show campaign

Fixation Marketing announced the exciting addition of a young solar industry tradeshow, PV America, to its impressive roster of tradeshow marketing campaigns. Fixation looks forward to re-launching the annual show, which will return April 3-5, 2011, after a postponement of the 2010 expo.

Fixation Marketing, a leading full-service marketing communications agency specializing in tradeshows and events, recently designed the logo and tagline for Solar Energy Trade Shows, LLC (SETS) which is the new show producer for PV America. The work led to a request for proposal from SETS for the PV America campaign.

Washington, D.C.-based SETS, a new joint venture formed by the Solar Energy Industries Association and Solar Electric Power Association is focused on producing events that advance the installation and utility of solar energy generation. SETS re-designed PV America in response to burgeoning interest in clean, renewable solar power generation in eastern states and in photovoltaic technologies in particular. The regionally focused and vertically integrated event complements the larger Solar Power International conference and expo, also produced by SETS, which takes place annually in October.

The expo will feature more than 50,000 square feet of exhibit space and education sessions covering solar energy generation and installation of solar systems with an in-depth focus on PV technologies. In addition to trade attendees that include builders, architects, developers and representatives of commercial interests, PV America will open its doors to consumers on Public Day on the final day of the event; with total attendance expected to top out at 4,000.

“We can easily become as ‘positively obsessed’ with the promise of solar energy generation just as we are with events,” said Jean Whiddon, president/CEO of Fixation. “It holds great potential for this country and the global environment.”
