Four Points by Sheraton Sydney adds MICE sales director

Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Darling Harbour is pleased to announce the appointment of a Director of Sales, MICE, effective immediately.

This latest appointment of Anne-Sophie Pouzin signals the next phase in the hotel’s recruitment drive as it continues to grow and establish a strong and esteemed sales force in the lead up to the launch of its new convention centre in June 2016.

She brings with her extensive experience working within large, luxury convention hotels and has a solid knowledge of international MICE and hotel markets, which places her in great stead to direct the MICE sales team as they work towards building Four Points by Sheraton Sydney’s name as a leader in the meetings, events and conference market.

As Australia’s largest hotel offering state-of-the-art conference facilities and exceptional service, Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Darling Harbour will play a key role in hosting conferences and events in Sydney following its $200 million redevelopment, and driving the city’s position as a leading meetings and convention destination in Asia Pacific.
Anne-Sophie will be integral to the success of this strategy and ensuring ongoing success, development and innovative solutions for clients.

Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Darling Harbour’s new world-class convention facilities will include 4,800 sqm of conference, meeting and event space, comprising a total of 23 rooms available for both large and intimate occasions as well as two large pillar-less ballrooms, the Grand Ballroom and the Maritime Ballroom. The property is already taking bookings following the 1 June, 2016 launch date.

Anne-Sophie has an extensive experience in luxury hotels and MICE, particularly in Asia where her Chinese language skills were applied and developed, an ability which will prove invaluable in the Sydney business market.

Anne-Sophie started her career at The Great Wall Sheraton Beijing China where she began as a Sales Manager before moving to the Grand Hyatt at Oriental Plaza China. Here she worked her way up from Sales Manager to Associate Director of Sales.

In her new role, Anne-Sophie will report into Marie-Cecile Dumond-Heritage, Director of Sales and Marketing, Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Darling Harbour.

As well as the additional 4,800sqm of convention, exhibition and meeting space, the new look hotel will include an additional third tower, adding 222 new stylish guestrooms to its current portfolio, bringing the total number of rooms to 905.
