Freeman, a provider of integrated services for face-to-face marketing events, has announced that an industry veteran will become the new chief sales officer.
Bob Priest-Heck will move into this new position from his current role as executive vice president at Freeman. Priest-Heck will replace chief sales officer Bob Moore following Moore’s retirement on June 30.
Priest-Heck joined Freeman in June 2011 when Freeman acquired Wheelhouse Solutions, the parent company to Champion Exposition Services, the George Fern Company and Immersa Marketing. Prior to joining Freeman, Priest-Heck gained a solid reputation as an innovator in experiential marketing across a range of industries including media, technology and hospitality. In addition to growing the Wheelhouse portfolio and developing new products and services, he worked closely with customers, sales and account teams to guarantee consistent service levels during the acquisition.
Among his past leadership roles, Priest-Heck served as the former president and CEO of MediaLive International, the producing company for one of the largest computer tradeshows in the world. He will work closely with Moore in the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.
“Bob Moore’s professionalism, unmatched work ethic and results-driven attitude positioned Freeman for ongoing success,” said Joe Popolo, Freeman CEO. “We know that the tradition of excellence will continue with Bob Priest-Heck. He is a visionary leader with the proven ability to assemble and guide collaborative, high-performance teams for top-tier competitive global organizations. We are excited to have his strategic thinking, focus on the customer experience and ability to develop new products and services to lead Freeman’s teams into the future.”
Outgoing chief sales officer, Bob Moore, joined Freeman in 2004, successfully running and expanding its corporate sales division prior to becoming CSO in 2009. Before joining Freeman, Moore had a successful career in the hotel and hospitality industry with more than 45 years of experience leading global sales for marquee brands and serving as Chairman for Meeting Planners International (MPI) and the Travel Industry Association of America (now known as U.S. Travel Association). In 2007, Moore was elected to the Convention Industry Council (CIC) Hall of Leaders for his outstanding contributions to the meetings, conventions, exhibitions, and hospitality and travel industry.
