The Frost Miller Group’s (FMG) chief account strategist has been appointed to the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) Future Trends Task Force to help identify emerging trends in the events industry.
Barbara A. Myers, CAE, was accepted as a volunteer for the year-long position based on her experience as chief operations officer at the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials International and her current position at FMG, where she develops and orchestrates clients’ strategies to help them achieve their event-growth goals.
“It is a privilege to be selected for this task force, as it is imperative for the industry,” said Myers. “I’ll draw from my past and present career to appropriately direct and prepare associations for what lies ahead. I’m eager to get started on a venture that allows me to delve deeper into the industry while providing heightened knowledge that will benefit many exhibitions.”
The IAEE’s Future Trends Task Force is a subgroup of the Strategic Planning Task Force. The task force pinpoints future trends and predicts their future impact on the exhibitions and events industry and the association. Myers is responsible for creating a white paper that will help the association and its members understand how life and business in the industry may look in 10 years.
