GBTA to launch India Chapter

Indian business travelers are forecasted to become the second largest group after Chinese within the next few years. GBTA will bring together major buyers and suppliers of corporate travel during the launch Sept. 3-4.

GBTA India will be inaugurated with a one-day Business Travel Symposium presenting the latest research on business travel trends and educational sessions. Presentations will focus on India’s rapid growth as a major business travel spending nation in the APAC region and the opportunities and challenges that buyers face in this dynamic market.

For the first time in Mumbai, GBTA will also introduce the Associate Level Certificate Course called “Fundamentals of Business Travel Management” on the last day of the conference. The course teaches the basic elements of travel management and has been specially tailored for the Asia-Pacific region. Upon completion of the course participants will be presented with the GBTA Academy – Associate Level Certificate.

The event is being supported by Taj Hotels & Resorts and the GBTA India steering committee, which is comprised of senior executives from the TATA Group, Deloitte Touch Tohmatsu, Carlson Wagonlit and Egencia.
