German Convention Bureau helps IMEX Frankfurt go green

Helping IMEX Frankfurt “go green” will be the German Convention Bureau (GCB).

The bureau is pulling out all the stops to incorporate a number of sustainable measures for the Frankfurt expo, which is scheduled for May 20-22.

While exhibitors and attendees are being urged to use public transportation, a hallmark for the expo will be green caterers and the use of USB drives to reduce paper waste.

In addition, exhibitors who implement three or more green initiatives will be featured in official show communication.

According to Matthias Schultze, managing director, GCB, it is important for the bureau to put its best foot forward on sustainability and social issues at IMEX.

“We are pleased to help our exhibitors demonstrate the strong green meetings options in Germany built around our industry expertise in sustainable development, science and research, ecology and green tech,” said Schultze.
