Winning the mandate against international competitors, German marketing agency tmf dialogue marketing announced on July 1 that it will be responsible for supporting the business events team at Tourism New Zealand (TNZ).
With a main objective to win more international conferences and events for New Zealand, the cooperation will introduce the destination to global associations based in Europe, meet decision makers and participate in events in various European countries to enhance contacts. tmf will also be the point-of-contact for requests and support for associations, corporates and professional conference organizers.
“TNZ has significantly increased its activity in the business events sector in the last few years, working collaboratively with industry to grow delegate numbers and increase the value of international events in New Zealand,” said Bjoern Spreitzer, international business events manager, TNZ. “We’re excited to work with tmf dialogue marketing to help win more events from associations, corporations and organizations in Europe.”
The German agency will also organize New Zealand’s annual association event around IMEX 2015. tmf dialogue marketing will work closely with TNZ’s offices in Wellington, Auckland and London, as well as with other relevant partners such as Air New Zealand.
Tourism is among the most important industries in New Zealand, and the international business events sector has been identified as a significant opportunity to grow visitor value to New Zealand.
TNZ’s management of the Conference Assistance Programme has seen New Zealand bid for 39 events over the last financial year, securing nine international events to date.
