The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center (NOENMCC) has promoted Gina Locatto to assistant director of sales. She joined the center in 2004 and most recently served as senior national sales manager.
In her new role, Locatto will help guide sales efforts, strengthen client relationships and industry partnerships, and attract new and returning business. She will also work across departments to support events.

Locatto brings more than 22 years of experience in sales, special events, production services, and executive administration. She began at the center as executive assistant to the general manager before moving into sales in 2006. She later served as production sales manager and special events sales manager, becoming senior national sales manager in July 2024.
According to the center, Locatto has exceeded booking goals and secured multiyear commitments. She also helps colleagues improve sales resources and practices. In 2021, she earned her Certified Meeting Professional designation.
“Gina understands how a decision made during the sales process can affect an event months or even years later,” said Micah Allen-Chambers, the center’s director of sales. “Her experience across several areas of our organization allows her to anticipate questions, work through details and bring the right people into a conversation early.”
“Throughout the various roles I’ve held at the Convention Center, I’ve seen the level of collaboration and pride that goes into every event we host,” Locatto said. “Having the opportunity to not only bring business to Louisiana, but also show off the wonderful assets of our state and grow these client relationships has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career here.”
The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center offers 1.1 million square feet of exhibit space on one level. Opened in 1985, the facility hosts conventions, tradeshows, and special events.
