Global Spectrum creates arts expo for Owensboro Convention Center

Owensboro Convention Center is bringing a new arts and crafts expo to Owensboro, Ky. Nov. 7-9.

Kraftucky Arts & Crafts Expo is a creation of Global Spectrum, the management company of the Owensboro Convention Center. This event will feature many local and regional artisans and crafters, offering over 100 booths for the public’s viewing and shopping pleasure.

“We are excited to produce and offer this event to the community,” said Doris Sparks, event manager, Owensboro Convention Center, Global Spectrum. “Our community is full of artisans, crafters and people who really appreciate this type of event.”

This will also be the perfect opportunity to do some early Christmas shopping, Sparks said.

Porter has created unique pottery pieces for many years as well, and studied pottery at Brescia University in Owensboro, Ky. He specializes in creating Raku pottery.

Owensboro has a long history of producing quality craft shows. The 2014 Kraftucky Arts & Crafts Expo will continue this tradition of quality and will be the premier consumer craft show of the season. Kraftucky will serve as a central location for arts and crafts enthusiasts from the region to collaborate and purchase the newest products.

Show hours are Friday, Nov. 7, 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 8, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 9, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is $3.00 for adults and children under 11 can get in for free. The admission tickets can be purchased at the door.
