Ovations Food Services, food and beverage provider for the Atlantic City Convention Center and Boardwalk Hall, will give back to the local community this Thanksgiving holiday.
Led by executive chef George Fisher, he along with a few staff members and volunteers will prepare Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchens at the Global Spectrum-managed Atlantic City Convention Center, for the Atlantic City Rescue Mission.
In a community effort among several local casinos and food providers, all menu items have been donated for this meal in order to help feed the homeless as well as those affected by recent casino closings.
Thanksgiving food preparations will begin on Nov. 24 at the Atlantic City Convention Center as Chef Fisher and the Ovations staff will begin to roast turkeys and pan vegetables. On Nov. 25, they will carve the turkeys and prepare trays of stuffing, turkey gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce. The completed meals will be delivered to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission on Nov. 26, in anticipation of Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday.
