GMCVB receives Distinguished Service Award from Wis. FFA

The Wisconsin Future Farmers of America (FFA) presented Greater Madison Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) with the Distinguished Service Award, which honors organizations that have made outstanding contributions to FFA and agricultural education.

“We are so thankful to receive this award from our friends at the Wisconsin FFA,” said Deb Archer, president and CEO, GMCVB. The FFA is dedicated to the science and business of agriculture.

GMCVB manages the entire housing process for the convention, including collecting hotel contracts and providing the online hotel booking system.

“Having worked with the Wisconsin FFA since 1995 when we assisted them to move its annual conference to Madison, we understand the great work they do, and we are fully committed to supporting them,” added Archer. “The entire GMCVB staff is committed to providing continual top-notch service to a group with which we have such a great history. We hope to continue this strong relationship long into the future.”

GMCVB has a role in supporting more than 19,000 Dane County tourism-related jobs. Promoting tourism in Madison since 1972, GMCVB works to expand the more than $1.7 billion generated by visitor spending in Dane County every year.
