  • AutoMobility LA Schedule Includes Transportation and Technology Leaders from McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Intel, Hyperloop, Facebook, Local Motors, Ford, CNET, General Motors Among Others

The Los Angeles Auto Show’s AutoMobility LA, the convergence of the Connected Car Expo and Press & Trade Days, today released the preliminary schedule for the upcoming trade show in November. The four-day schedule has a wide variety of programs and experiences including ride and drives, global vehicle reveals, and discussion panels led by growing startups as well as established technology and automotive executives.

On the evening of November 14, a networking reception and welcome party will kick off 2016 AutoMobility LA. The program for November 15-17 includes a vast array of networking events, press conferences, vehicle debuts and keynote speeches from Ford CEO Mark Fields, Intel CEO Brian Krzanich, Next EV CEO Padma Warrior, Local Motors CEO Jay Rogers and Hyperloop One CEO Rob Lloyd.

Additional highlights include a presentation on integrating Big Data into car driving from Facebook’s Stephanie Latham and a talk about self-driving cars with executives from IBM, Amazon Alexa and Nvidia. A speech on flying cars with inventor Dezsö Molnár will wrap up the first day. On November 16, Silicon Valley investor, Bill Tai, will announce the winners of AutoMobility LA’s Top Ten Startups Competition.

“We’re incredibly pleased with how the AutoMobility LA schedule is shaping up,” said Lisa Kaz, President and CEO of LA Auto Show and AutoMobility LA. “The mix of established and emerging transportation thought leaders is a clear illustration of the blending of tech and automotive. Where else can you find executives of McLaren, Intel, Mercedes-Benz and Facebook in one room discussing the future of their industries?”

AutoMobility LA is the evolution of the LA Auto Show’s Connected Car Expo and its Press & Trade Days into a trade show designed exclusively for the new automotive industry. The four-day event will continue to bring together the entire “new mobility ecosystem” – comprised of automakers, tech companies, designers, developers, startups, investors, dealers, government officials, analysts, etc. – to redefine and unveil the future of transportation.
