Highmark Announces Staff Promotions

Jeremy Luther, Shawn Lothamer, Jacob Christman (l-r) (1000x469)Highmark TechSystems president Debbie Parrott recently announced several company promotions.

Jeremy Luther (photo left) is now rental assets and logistics manager, having worked in purchasing and logistics at the company for the past four years. Highmark’s rental inventory of modular wall and deck systems is one of its most important and valuable assets, and because of industry trends and the quality of Highmark’s products, this line of business has grown tremendously over the past several years. Prior to joining Highmark, Jeremy worked for nine years at Hupp Aerospace Defense where he held a number of positions including IT manager and rental inventory control manager. According to Ms. Parrott, “As the industry trend to rent has grown, so has our rental inventory and our need to manage it effectively and efficiently. Jeremy has the perfect skill set for controlling our rental assets not only because of his prior experience with relevant processes but also his facility in data management.” Jeremy holds a degree in computer science from Ivy Tech in New Haven, IN.

Jacob Christman (photo right) has been promoted to the newly created position of special applications engineer. In this role Jacob will be instrumental in implementing new applications, machinery and processes into Highmark’s fabrication methods.  His duties will be split between engineering development and direct production work. “As Highmark develops new products and processes, we also need to identify new machinery and equipment. Jacob’s position will find him crossing into several areas. He has an impressive and versatile skill set and strong intellect that are real pluses for this role,” said Ms. Parrott. Jacob joined Highmark as a fabrication technician after his graduation from Purdue University with a degree in computer engineering. His LinkedIn profile says, “I live for automations great and small.”

Shawn Lothamer (photo center) has been promoted to design detailer, a key role in Highmark’s engineering department.  Shawn joined the company in 2013 as a machinist, and he was soon promoted to machining team lead.  He brings a unique mechanical and technical perspective to Highmark’s engineering and quality control department.  “Shawn has been a significant contributor to Highmark’s production efficiencies and precision, and he can now apply that valuable knowledge earlier in our process at the design specification and preflight stages, according to Ms. Parrott. “ We are thrilled to promote him to this important role.”
