Hill and Partners’ team of branded environment specialists are taking home yet another professional design and trade show industry award, this time the Exhibitor Storytelling Award for their 2014 Foundry Exhibit displayed at the International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers show.
Hill & Partners traveled to Las Vegas to display the unique Branded Environment for the Foundry brand at the International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers show. The booth captured tobacco’s past and predicted its future through a series of vignettes spanning from 1914 to 2064, creating the perfect time-travel experience though General Cigar Co.’s history.
“We wanted to create something completely unexpected and evoke an interactive journey through time, to capture where Foundry has been, and where they are headed.” said Hill & Partners President, Michael McMahon. “The new design was inspired by the rollout of a cigar product named Worm Hole. Our design team executed a series of chronological rooms and photographs, some modeled after upscale cigar clubs, highlighted by dimensional textured panels and mirrors etched with the Foundry logo.”
Although still under the General Cigar Company’s umbrella, Foundry collaborated with the creative team at Hill & Partners to break away from General Cigar’s exhibit as a stand-alone, 20 x 40 display to coexist with its ongoing “Beyond the Unexpected” mantra that began with Hill & Partners in 2011.
Traveling back to 1962, the booth proceeded to impress attendees as they stepped through a “wormhole” doorway and into a perplexing space filled with fog. The Exhibit Design Awards judges commended Hill & Partners on their innovative and artistic narrative, integrating existing structures with new elements to create a journey through time and space.
The prestigious award marks the 10th for Hill & Partners within the last year.
