H&X Technologies welcomed IMEX America attendees to its Las Vegas office Oct. 14 for an open house featuring a 3-D LED experience, curved displays, and examples of custom installations for live events and exhibits.
The gathering began at 5:30 p.m. at the company’s Dean Martin Drive location. Guests met members of the visiting H&X Technologies team, watched demonstrations, and took part in a raffle for a $200 ResortPass prize.
BEYOND THE SCREEN
During CEO Peter Moll’s demonstration, attendees wore proprietary 3-D glasses as graphics appeared to extend beyond the LED screen. Moll explained that the glasses are specific to the system; standard 3-D glasses cannot substitute for them.
Produced in partnership with Liminal Space, which created the visual content, the presentation explored applications across sports, fine art, music, and touring entertainment. Basketball and hockey scenes, famous artworks, and concert visuals demonstrated effects that appeared to bring the imagery closer to viewers without requiring them to move.
According to Moll, the large LED display used in the demonstration had already toured with a prominent Japanese pop artist. Large curved LED displays elsewhere in the office offered additional examples of the company’s equipment.

SHAPES BEYOND THE RECTANGLE
Moll also discussed custom LED installations for retail, tradeshows, outdoor events, theater, and concerts.
“A favorite project of mine was the work we did with the Lyric Opera of Chicago,” Moll said. “There were unique custom shapes that we had to execute with the LEDs.”
Other examples included a stage for software company Atlassian that incorporated octagons, triangles, and towers alongside screens carrying camera feeds. Moll also described integrating LED into a CBS Super Bowl anchor desk, illustrating how displays can become part of a set or exhibit’s structure.
H&X Technologies works with agencies, exhibit houses, technical directors, and clients on these projects. Ryan Fellabaum, vice president of sales, invited Exhibit City News (ECN) to the open house after attending an Experiential Designers & Producers Association (EDPA) International event at ECN’s office.
