The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) Public Events Council, the largest association of the exhibitions and events industry in the world, will be taking applications until Sept. 15, for its Top Public Events Recognition Program, recognizing best practices in the business-to-consumers segment of the exhibitions and events industry.

“The Public Events Council is excited to once again present the opportunity to recognize those consumer events with innovative and sound business practices as well as exceptional customer service and attendee satisfaction,” said Public Events Council Chairperson Bob Morgan, general manager, Dulles Expo Center.

This will give the venues the chance to recognize their top event producers. The form this year is shorter and simpler than in the past, and the winner will be announced during Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Los Angeles.”

New for 2014 will be the opportunity for venues to nominate or sponsor an event held in their facility. The venue pays the application fee upon submission and receives recognition if the event is selected.

Events will be judged by an impartial panel of consumer event experts on specific event criteria and general areas such as demonstrated sound business practices, stability and exceptional customer service. Testimonials and photos/videos of the event are welcome to enhance the application.

Winners will be recognized at the annual awards luncheon held during Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition 2014 on Dec. 9-11 in Los Angeles.
