Teaming up once again with China Incentives and Business Travel Meeting (CIBTM), the leading tradeshow for the meetings and events industry in China and Asia, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) will support the event from Sept. 17-19 in Beijing.
Hosting qualified meeting planners, the association will also co-produce the education content at the event.
“As the global organization representing the exhibitions and events industry, IAEE recognizes the importance of partnering with CIBTM and having a presence in the MICE industry in China and Asia,” said IAEE Chief Operating Officer Cathy Breden, CAE, CMP. “This is an important region for us as we currently have more than 1,000 industry professionals with the IAEE Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM), which demonstrates the importance of providing education to this market.”
To effectively engage with attendees at CIBTM, IAEE will host education sessions as part of the Knowledge Program, which will focus on expertise and best practices for the exhibitions and events industry. Attendees will have an additional chance to get a deeper understanding of the exhibitions and events industry. Each of the sessions will earn credits for the CEM certification program.
“For anyone exploring countries in Asia as a potential market to take an event, CIBTM is the perfect opportunity to learn about the area and to understand the evolving trends,” Breden continued. “From PCOs to airlines, to venues, to hotels, participating as a hosted buyer or taking an exhibit stand is a perfect opportunity in this emerging marketplace.”
