International Association of Exhibitions and Event (IAEE) announced that it is now accepting entries for its 2015 Art of the Show Competition, which awards those who demonstrate excellence in the development of promotional and marketing materials for their exhibitions and events. IAEE has implemented a new system this year that makes it easier, faster and more user-friendly than ever to enter the IAEE Art of the Show Competition.
“We are genuinely excited about how much easier it is to participate in the Art of the Show Competition this year,” said IAEE President & CEO David DuBois, CMP, CAE, FASAE, CTA. “Not only is this new method a real time-saver, it will also allow contestants to take advantage of all the categories possible for each of their entries.”
The competition includes 15 categories for three show sizes: less than 75,000 net square feet (nsf); 75,001-200,000 nsf; and over 200,000 nsf. A first-place winner and an honorable mention will be selected for each category. From the first-place entries, an independent panel of judges may select the top submission for the Best of Show recognition. This entry truly reflects the very best of the annual Art of the Show competition. The categories are:
- Attendance Promotion Brochure (single piece)
- Attendance Promotion Campaign (multiple pieces)
- Brand Design/Development
- Convention/Exhibition Center Promotion
- Email Promotion
- Exhibit Sales Brochure/Prospectus (single piece)

For promotional categories, judges will consider category-specific measures including creativity, clarity of message, design, layout, copy, creation of brand association, target audience reach, objective and goal accomplishments, and overall presentation. For the Web category entries, ease of navigation and user-friendliness will also be considered. The judges will give honors to those entries that are inventive and promote the exhibition or event vividly and successfully.
Exhibition and event promotional materials produced between Aug. 1, 2014 and Sept. 30, 2015 are eligible for entry. Entries must be received by Friday, Sept. 30, 2015. First place winners will be displayed at Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition to be held Dec. 1-3, 2015 in Baltimore, Md.
