Twenty youthful professionals are in store for a free journey to the International Association of Expos and Events’ (IAEE) 2012 Expo! Expo! annual meeting scheduled in Orlando from Dec. 4-6.
The 20 youthful professionals will be chosen from among applicants who otherwise do not have the financial means to attend the program. The Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Austin Convention Center are sponsoring the special program for tradeshow industry professionals between ages 20 and 30, who will be given three nights’ free stay at the Orlando Hilton and free admission to the three-day Expo! Expo! program.
“IAEE is proud to serve as the catalyst for select young professionals in the exhibitions and events industry who have not had the chance to experience Expo! Expo! There is no doubt that the rich content offered at the annual meeting, including education, networking, career building, certification and community building, will provide long-term benefits throughout their careers,” said Steve Hacker, president, IAEE.
The IAEE’s “20 Under 30” program helps participants learn more about the events and exhibitions industry while establishing stronger career paths and becoming highly valued employees. Applicants must meet qualifying criteria and create a YouTube video explaining their background and career goals as well as answering specific questions about the exhibitions and events industry. Applications must be submitted by Oct. 10 for consideration.
Founded in 1928, IAEE is the largest association of the exhibitions and events industry in the world with a membership comprised of show organizers, exhibitors and exhibition suppliers annually representing more than 20,000 exhibitions and buyer-seller events around the world.
