IAEE supports Latin America through ICOMEX partnership

The Latin American platform ICOMEX brings together experts with key MICE industry buyers in Mexico City. This event is supported by major industry professional organizations, such as the Mexican Tourism Board (MTB), Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR), ICCA, COCAL, AFIDA, ASAE, GMIC, PCMA, MPI, SITE and GBTA, among others.

As an organization for exhibitions and events, the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) partnered with ICOMEX and will collaborate with the organizing committee to develop a strong program focused on developing international partnerships.

As part of the program within the framework of ICOMEX activities, the Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) Learning Program provides a professional designation for individuals in the exhibitions and events industry. The CEM Learning Program builds a foundation and provides strategies in exhibition management. A program for current CEMs will be offered. In addition, the IAEE Mexico Chapter will also offer programming at ICOMEX.

Speaking to more than 500 attendees, IAEE President and CEO David DuBois, CMP, CAE, FASAE, CTA will present the state of the exhibitions and events industry and discuss developing trends that are affecting the way face-to-face events operate. DuBois will be joined by representatives of IAEE’s Chapter in Mexico who will speak on the importance of the exhibition industry throughout Mexico, new opportunities for collaboration and partnership and the importance of global trade events.

To be held Nov. 6 – 8, ICOMEX 2013 will have a showroom with over 150 suppliers and destinations: international airlines, hotels, PCOs, incentive agencies, DMC and tour operators.
