The Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association (ICVA), which promotes the city of Indianapolis, has hired two new executives.
Dustin Arnheim has been promoted as the new director of convention sales, and Joyce Russell has been added as the new director of sales, East Coast.
Arnheim has been in the industry for nine years and was previously director of sales for Hyatt Hotels. He has won four awards in his four years at Hyatt, including “Manager of the Year” Hyatt Regency Indianapolis (2006), “Sales Manager of the Year” Finalist for Hyatt Hotels Corp (2005, 2004), and “Sales Team of the Year” Finalist for Hyatt Hotels Corp (2004). Arnheim has also been recognized with an Outstanding Production Achievement Award for 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
Arheim holds a Bachelor of Arts with focus in Tourism Management from Mercyhurst College.
Russell has been in the industry for 25 years, and was previously director of sales and marketing at Westin Indianapolis. As the new director of sales, East Coast, for the ICVA, Russell will lead the ICVA’s sales efforts along with a team of three other individuals.
“I’m looking forward to the ability to showcase our amazing city package, including the expanded Indiana Convention Center and the connectivity of our hotels, to meeting planners,” said Russell. “Indianapolis has changed so much since I started in this industry in 1984.”
Russell has been recognized as the 2006 Starwood Incentive Award winner and holds a BS in Political Science from Ball State University.
