International Federation of Exhibition and Event services (IFES), an international association for show organizers and industry suppliers, recruited a well-known and experienced professional to serve as its new executive director.
Uta Goretzky knows the exhibition and event industry extremely well from her work with German association FAMAB and other industry companies. She and her team took over the management office from Elizabeth Niehaus, who oversaw IFES for the last 14 months.
“Together with her team, she will play an important role in pushing IFES into a position [that] adequately reflects IFES’ designated influence as a key association of our industry,” stated Voicu Sferdianu, president, IFES.
As executive director, Goretzky will ensure members of the international association can benefit from her knowledge.
Goretzky started her new role on Oct. 1, 2015.
