imago elevates employee to marketing manager

imago, which unifies conference and events venues at Loughborough University in England, has promoted an employee to marketing manager.

A graduate of Leeds Beckett University, Liam Clamp joined imago as marketing executive in November 2011, and has made a considerable impact in raising brand awareness of Loughborough University’s conference and events arm. As a direct result of the implementation of various marketing activities, imago has recorded:
– A 47 percent increase in inquiries for one of its conference venues
– A 17 percent increase in website traffic
– Generated more than £30,000 of business through a downloadable whitepaper.

Most recently, in his role Liam has overseen the marketing of imago’s research into the value of face to face communication, which was conducted in conjunction with The Right Solution and measured the value of face to face communication amongst more than 750 event organizers, delegates, graduate and undergraduate students.

Liam commented, “I’m over the moon with the promotion. I’m glad to see that a lot of hard work over the last three and a half years has paid off. imago is a fantastic company to work for and I cannot thank them enough for giving me this opportunity. Every day is so different which certainly helps to keep me motivated. I am looking forward to the extra responsibility, where I see my skills developing further in my new role.”

Emma Boynton, head of sales and marketing at imago, commented, “Since joining the team at imago, Liam has had a significant impact on our marketing which has resulted in increased awareness of imago and its portfolio of award-winning venues. He has developed a strong strategy, making use of all elements of the marketing mix, which has supported our overall business objectives and helped meet sales targets. This promotion is well deserved and I look forward to working more closely with him as he grows into this new role.”

imago unifies Loughborough University’s conference and events venues under one brand offering high quality meeting spaces, venues and accommodation along with excellent sports and leisure facilities. imago manages the AIM Gold accredited Burleigh Court and Holywell Park as well as Loughborough University’s conference and events facilities and The Link Hotel.
